“Nigel Davis, also known as Huggntreez, is a self-taught mixed-media artist from Atlanta, GA, specializing in abstract expressionism. His work explores themes of identity, self-empowerment, spirituality, social justice, and the beauty found within resilience. Davis began his practice using a palette knife to create bold, textured compositions on canvas and found materials, emphasizing depth and raw emotion. Recently, he has transitioned to oil pastel crayons, a medium that allows him to explore fluidity, texture, and freedom of expression while continuing to reflect on the same core ideas of beauty, strength, and personal liberation.”

In December 2025, Davis will showcase his latest body of work during Art Basel Miami with Spectrum Miami (December 3–7), marking a major milestone in his growing national presence.
